I contacted TC-RV Inc. with a broken washer/dryer on 6-1-06. The washer was covered under a service contract. They were busy and told me that it would take a couple weeks to get to us. We agreed and booked an appointment for 6-19-06, and they said they would send a service tech to us. We could have brought the trailer to them at that time, but they offered to send someone to us. We told them that we were not going to be there as we were away seeing doctors for a few weeks, but we left them access to a key. On the 20th we called them because we never heard from them. We got the run around, and no it was not looked at. On the 22nd we got the same. At this time we decided to leave it alone until we got back on July 1st and then deal with it. Hopefully they would get to it. All the while the washer is full of soap, water, and clothes. What a mess. My nephew (who's property our rig is parked at in the summer) got back into town on the 26th and called TC-RV on our behalf. He was told that the person we spoke to was new and didn't know that they didn't do service calls on washer/dryers. She had since been fired. They never bothered to call us. My nephew then asked them what they were going to do to fix the problem. He was told to bring in the trailer. He explained that the tow vehicle was 200 miles away and not available. The rig could have been at their shop if they only would have told me in the first call. After much negotiation my nephew agreed to pay for a service call and a service tech was sent out. He determined that he needed the trailer at the shop. The service manager told my nephew that it would cost under $150 for them to bring the trailer to the shop. Again after much negotiation, the service manager agreed to drop the fee as they did contribute to the problem. Actually they were the problem, but progress was being made. Several minutes later my nephews phone rang and this time it was the owner. After a lengthy conversation, he told him that he doesn't do anything without getting paid, and that he was busy enough, and he doesn't need our money or business, and then just hung up the phone. TC-RV Inc. is the only new RV dealer in the Traverse City, MI. area. This dealer is not worthy of anyones business. Please go elsewhere! Didn't do anything but give us more trouble!
Bus Conversion

We arranged for a pre-sale inspection of a 1991 Prevost Bus. To their credit, TC RV admitted to not working much on Buses but I explained I was concerned with the "General" condition of "House" systems such as TV/Cable, washer/dryer, water, and electrical system. They quoted a price (reasonable) and also agreed to keep Bus inside (extreme winter weather) for a price. Agreeable. Winegard TV system check did not reveal not having been lubricated later caused a broken handle, additional cost later of #100 to me. Electric system with Bus not receiving 30 amp service from shore power not discovered. Help was friendly but not too efficient. Charges for air leakage did not include normal "weep holes" in windows for condensation which may have changed sale of bus. The Winegard system is very popular system for all RV types and was poorly conducted. Wires exposed on roof causing problems with Winegard not discovered nor repaired. Toilet water leaking down overnight not addressed or reported, found first night after departing. Aux air compressor (possible Prevost not house equipment) not inspected nor confirmed as working. Air Leveling system with leakage not reported. We felt that although they explained that they did not normally do this type equipment inspection, they felt confident that they could do this work and of course happily took our money
