I took delivery of a 2006 Mountaineer, we were going to live in it until our house was built. We stayed in there little RV park behind Stiers to try it out for the night. The next morning while my wife was taking a shower I noticed water was gushing out of the storage compartment, this should have been found during the PDI. I took the trailer back twice to have the leak fixed, about 6 hours of their labor and it still leaks. I will find another service location. Stier's does a very poor job of the PDI. The problem was not fixed after driving 60 miles each way on 2 occasions, very disappointed and I will not return.

Annual Service Components Checklist Stier's was wonderful!! They manage to get all of our work done in one day, make sure that we are comfortable with everything. The slide wouldn't come in, so we thought they disconnected a wire somewhere. We discovered this after they were closed, and they called a service tech from home to troubleshoot the problem. Come to find out, we hadn't set the parking brake. We have gone there several times for service, including minor warranty work. We will definitely travel the four hours each way to go back.

Pipe for fresh water tank came out while in route to destination. Pipe clamp came loose, silicone all dried and crumbly. Was in shop a total of 4 weeks 2 times, and the work wasn't done. Again, I took it home, and did it myself, plus there was damage done to my toy hauler, a huge scratch down the passenger side, about 8 ft high, and 2 ft long.

I took delivery of my 2005 Mountaineer on this date. There were and still are several items that should have been handled prior to delivery during the PDI process and were not. I had 3 awnings added to the coach, 2 slide awnings and a 2ND 8' Awning over the bedroom door and window. I had a Reese HD WD Hitch and Dual Cams installed at the time of delivery. The two slide awnings were not completely installed. The stop on one to prevent it from ballooning out while driving was in place but not attached. It was discovered by accident 3 weeks later when I noticed it in a wrong position and used my awning rod to touch it and it fell right onto the Camping World service bay floor. It had never been screwed on when installed. The other slide awning had a bracket that they had broken the screw head off of when installing and never removed it and replaced with a good one. The 8' awning was properly attached at the top but the two support brackets on the lower portion of each arm had the bolts there but were not screwed it. Also the PDI process calls for filling and fully draining all tanks. Had this been done they would have noticed that one of the holding tanks valves did not fully close. Letting a small quantity of fluid to leak past and when you remove the waste gate you get a nice little bath. About a gallon or so depending on the amount of time between opening it last. They have promised to address these items on 7/9/05 as I canceled the most recent appointment when it was discovered that the part we discovered needed replacement during the walk around at delivery had fallen through the cracks and not been ordered. The hitch was actually installed incorrectly and a friend of mine and I spent about 2-3 hours after downloading instructions for it as they had not given those to me even though I bought the entire hitch from them. The cams in particular where totally installed incorrectly as well as one of the WD brackets on the passengers side. I was very disappointed with the quality of their PDI and labor on all the additional parts ordered for the trailer prior to delivery. I could add a couple of other items but I think you get the overall picture. The sales process was a good experience but the delivery prep leaves a HUGE AMOUNT OF IMPROVEMENT TO BE DONE>
