        5th Wheel Trailer

We had an insurance claim that was to be completed - excellent. But when it came to doing extra work (checking the gas line for the furnace, stove, hot water heater and fridge it was $2700 by the time they changed a piece where the hose is joined at the tanks and blew the hoses out. When we were attaching the trailer the legs would not come up. Prior to leaving Meridien we had another $84 for a new switch for the hydraulic legs to work prior to leaving. All week the furnace would stop working and the guys finally figured out that there is a piece loose and had to of been noticed by the mechanics as it would not start without moving this piece around. Mis-communication between service writer and the receptionist brought our bill up to the outrageous amount of $2700. After complaining they brought it down to $1800. Then the RV dealerships wonder why people go to the US to have work done.

        Truck Campers

Propane regulator in tank compartment was not functioning properly. The technicians replaced the regulator. Poor attention to detail. The first outing after the work was done (month later) and the distinct smell of propane was detected on the side of the camper where the propane compartment was. After investigating, I found a connector on the regulator was hanging off the threads and not tightened. A phone call to Meridian RV advising of the dangerous situation I had encountered was met with a response that the travel to my camp location must have loosened the connector. Not a chance as the camp location was local. I feel the tech forgot to tighten this fastener, and put my young family in danger by doing so.
