Replacement of 1998 Jayco Heritage Acadia pop-up camper top under warranty. I am the original owner of a 1998 Jayco Heritage Acadia pop-up. About 2 months ago I called Masters to inquire if my sagging and cracked
camper top was covered by warranty. They didn?t answer their phone. I left a message. They didn't return my call. I called for several days till I
finally got a human. I was told someone would call me back. They never did. About a week later I was going camping near them so I took my
camper by there for evaluation. I told them my frustration with not being able to contact them and that I wanted to get my camper fixed so I could
sell it and buy another Jayco from them. They had the exact one I wanted on their lot. They never really apologized for the poor communication,
but I was willing to give them another chance.
They agreed that my top could be replaced under warranty, took pictures and my information and said they would submit it to Jayco. After
hearing nothing for two weeks I called Masters and got some flimsy excuse why they hadn?t sent the info to Jayco. So I called Jayco myself. They
gave me the e-mail address to send the pictures and info to and said they would contact Masters. Masters finally called me back and acted like
they had been the ones to get the ball rolling. I was hot, but I let it go. I just wanted my camper fixed.
That same day Jayco issued authorization number to Masters RV to replace my top under warranty. Jayco said after they receive the order from
Masters it would take them about 3-4 weeks to manufacture and ship the top to Masters. Six weeks later I call Jayco to get a status update and
they tell me that Masters never submitted an order for the top. Daryl Masters told me that he didn?t want to do the work because he was going to
have to pay Jayco up front for the top and then get reimbursed once the work was done. Over the 6 week period he never once called me to
inform me that he didn?t want to do the work.
I will NEVER do business with Masters RV again. I will bad-mouth them every chance I get. I will post this letter on every website pertaining to
camping and RV service I can find. I really like Jayco products, but Masters RV is doing great damage to the Jayco name.
