Diagnostic of basement heat pump. Check the Workhorse Brake Recall work that they did. Other repairs or checks on the coach that weren't specifically authorized. Unfortunately Craig Smith has a new service pricing plan where they charge a set price for diagnostic work. As we all know this type of service can become quite time consuming or take very little depending on how far they need to look for the culprit. A shop won't stay in business long if they don't charge for their time, however the customer shouldn't be overcharged "just in case" it takes a while to figure the problem out. By using their new diagnostic pricing rates they actually charged me considerably more then the work that I took the motor home in for. To justify the higher diagnostic rate it appears they are now telling their techs to look for additional items to service. One of the things listed on my bill was to adjust the fluid level in the back axle. Give me a break! Craig Smith also did the original recall work on our Workhorse Chassis Brakes. One of the items Workhorse tells you to report immediately if it occurs is a strong brake smell. This did occur just prior to bringing it back to them to be checked on the heat pump issue. I was amazed when they charged me to check the work they did to be sure we hadn't incurred damage due again to a sticking brake. These folks already were reimbursed by Workhorse for their work and now Craig Smith won't stand by what they did? It's a shame the dealership has resorted to these tactics to generate additional revenue. I've been a long time customer of theirs and felt it important to use my local RV service and parts department so they were there when I needed them. By developing a long term relationship with them I hoped to see them reciprocate. Unfortunately in order to stay profitable I feel they are biting the hands that feed them. This dealership has the potential to be a positive force in regional RV sales and service, however until they change their approach to customer service I would not recommend them to my friends.

Brakes on two wheels were screwed up by RRR Tire Service in Wapakoneta, OH. At Craig Smith RV, they checked the bearings, wheels, hubs, and brakes. Got the job done right!!! One other thing I want to add. I had called a lot of places in this area. Everyone was 2 weeks behind and to busy for us. Even when I said we were full-time RVers, it didn't do any good. Craig Smith RV Center got us in and took care of us.
